模式標本

中興大學昆蟲標本館所藏之研究標本中有許多即為模式標本，共計有400種3,000件以上，其中包含數種天牛、近百種木蝨、兩百多種飛蝨、數十種蜉蝣及一些蟋蟀之模式標本，於學術研究上極具意義。
